Students majoring in Religious Studies explore the traditions, stories, rituals, and structures of religious communities. They analyze the beliefs and values of different religious traditions, develop a critical sensitivity to both Christian and non-Christian religions, and learn to read ancient and modern texts carefully. A Religious Studies major serves as excellent preparation for a number of careers and graduate programs because of the emphasis in reading, writing, analyzing, and speaking.
