The study of music at a liberal arts institution fosters problem solvers, independent thinkers, team players and future leaders. A student majoring in music at Ferrum College will have the opportunity to perform with instrument or voice, demonstrate an understanding of music theory and practice, study the development of music throughout history, and develop an understanding of the business of music. The goals of this degree program are to develop musicianship and artistic sensibilities alongside business and technical skills.
