EDU 355 - Secondary and Middle School Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment StrategiesCredit Hour(s): 3 This course prepares students to teach in grades 6 - 12 through a study of curriculum, instruction and assessment that includes the following topics: decision making; developing, planning, implementing, and assessing instruction; aligning instruction with appropriate content area state standards; principles of learning; the application of skills in the discipline-specific methodology; the selection of instructional strategies and materials; and the use of technology in planning, implementing and assessing learning. Program candidates are introduced to the Clinical Cycles and will teach a minimum of six lessons.
