MUS 113 - Orchestra AppalachiaCredit Hour(s): 1 Orchestra Appalachia is a performance ensemble, providing opportunities for singers and instrumentalists to explore Appalachian music styles, especially Old-Time, Bluegrass, and Gospel, and including related genres, such as folk, country, and blues. Related dance styles will also be performed. Instrumentation of the ensemble includes fiddle, banjo, guitar, bass, mandolin, and other instruments at the discretion of the instructor. This course may be repeated up to eight times for credit. 1 Credit(s). 3 Contact Hour(s).
