NUR 301 - Academic Onboarding for Nursing

Students will be introduced to the college resources available through Panther Portal and BrightSpace LMS. Through a series of activities, students will interface with nursing faculty related to the need for effective access to the library. A multi-phased, nursing specific writing assignment will allow students to apply writing standards and expectations specific to discipline. Other assignments will link to critical thinking and decision making in the care of clients, the role of nursing at the community, regional, national, and global level, and nursing’s role within ethics, health policy, and advocacy activities. 2 Credit(s).
