Health and Human Performance
The Health and Human Performance major prepares the student for a variety of fitness, educational and rehabilitation settings including local, state and federal agencies such as schools, non-profit organizations such as health department services as well as commercial enterprises such as fitness centers, the Health and Human Performance major will include four emphasis areas.
Experiential Component (Complete the Following Course:)

Physical and Health Education; Teaching Pre K-12 Emphasis (Teacher Education Minor Required)
Students electing this program emphasis must also minor in the All-Level Teacher Education Minor and fulfill all the requirements and standards in both programs to become certified to teach Physical Education and Health at the elementary and secondary levels (Pre K-12). This licensure requires passing all statemandated tests prior to enrollment into the Teacher Education program. This emphasis provides the scientific background and academic experience which will prepare students to be effective educators. (See Teacher Education Minor )
The Experiential Component (requirement of the major) for this emphasis can be met by successfully completing EDU 404 Student Teaching and Synthesis Experience .
