BIO 340 - Biotechnology and Bioinformatics

[NSM] Examines the techniques of molecular biology and bioinformatics and their application to a variety of fields. Examples from forensic science, medicine, evolutionary biology and human genealogy will be included.  Ethical and social controversies resulting from the use of these technologies will also be discussed. 3 Credit(s).

Prerequisite(s): Complete BIO 105 - Concepts in Biology  , BIO 110 - Introductory Biology I  , or BIO 111 - Introductory Biology II
