PSY 551 - Personality and Behavioral AssessmentCredit Hour(s): 3 This course will provide exploratory in-depth synchronous and asynchronous training for a variety of personality assessment tools. The course introduces the concept of personality and psychological assessment with commonly used assessments spanning four categories: testing grounded in emotionality and symptoms (E.g., PAI, MMPI+), testing grounded in personality pathology theory (E.g., Millon), testing grounded in normal personality traits (e.g., 16PF, MBTI), and testing grounded in projective theory (E.g., Rorschach, TAT). In addition, the course explores behavioral reports and ratings often used with patients themselves, their families, or other third-party reporters (e.g., BASC, Vineland). Special consideration is given to socioemotional or other diversity differences. (3 credits) 3 Credit(s).
