PSY 501 - Ethics and Professional IssuesCredit Hour(s): 3 This course provides an in-depth exploration of the identity and ethical issues in counseling psychology, laws, and other professional issues that impact the science and practice of Counseling and Psychology. Students will identify pertinent ethical and legal issues, apply ethical concepts, and understand the role of ethics across the field of Psychology and Counseling, including research and teaching, authorship, mentoring and supervision, and the application of Clinical and Counseling Psychology. Students become familiar with both APA and ACA codes of ethics. 3 Credit(s).
