PSY 560 - Forensic Psychology: AssessmentCredit Hour(s): 3 This course examines the relationships between psychology and American law through the lens of a scientist and court expert. Specific topics to be addressed include fitness for police and public service duties, civil law (e.g., personal injury, testamentary capacity, etc.), criminal law (e.g., insanity, competency, death sentencing, etc.), juvenile law (diagnosis, risk, recidivism, etc.), education law (learning disabilities, etc.), and family law (custody and parenting disputes). 3 Credit(s). 3 Contact Hour(s).
