PSY 531 - Psychometrics


Psychological assessments provide a critical lens through which we can observe human nature; however, their utility is constrained by their psychometric properties. This course is designed to introduce students to critical aspects of psychometric theory fundamental to the development, evaluation, and interpretation of psychological assessments. Current issues and controversies will be explored. Students will apply course content by developing and evaluating a psychological assessment.  3 Credit(s).

Prerequisite(s): PSY 503 - Applied Statistics in the Social Sciences
